Where panels can be installed
🏠 Roof (most common)
Mounted directly on your existing roof. GI sheet and flat roofs are easiest. Roof must face south, east, or west for best output.
🍏 Ground mount
Installed on metal frames on the ground or beside the house. Good for farms and properties with unused land. Easier maintenance.
🏖 Carport / Pergola
Panels serve as the roof of a covered parking or garden structure. Dual purpose — shade + energy. Slightly higher framing cost.

Roof type
Roof Types & Cost Impact
🏠 GI Sheet / Corrugated Metal
Most common in PH. Cheapest install — clamp brackets attach to ribs without drilling. No extra cost for waterproofing.
🏛 Tile / Clay / Spanish Tile
Tiles removed and replaced around mounts. Adds 30–35% to mounting labor. More care needed to prevent cracking.
🏢 Flat Concrete Deck
Ballasted frame (no drilling). Adds ~18% to mounting cost. Very common on bungalows and commercial buildings.
🍂 Asphalt Shingle
Standard L-foot bolts with waterproof flashing. Similar cost to GI sheet. Less common in the Philippines.

Connected to the grid. No battery — earns bill credits via net metering when you export excess power. Cheapest option. Power still goes out during brownouts. Best for Meralco, DLPC, VECO areas.
🔋 Hybrid + Battery
Solar + battery bank + grid. Keeps essential appliances on during brownouts. Battery charges from solar during the day. Recommended for ORMECO, OMECO, Palawan, and outage-prone areas.
🏝 Off-Grid
Fully independent. No grid connection. Larger battery bank for night use. Best for remote farms, island resorts, and areas with no grid access. Higher upfront cost.
